About Us | Eric March

eric1.jpgMy name is Eric March, and I’m a blogaholic.

It wasn’t always this way. You see, I was never really into blogging. My life isn’t so exciting that I thought anyone would want to read about me, and I’m certainly not particularly notable in the iPod and iPhone community for having done very much. However, Jody E-Mailed me in late January of 2008 and, on the strength of my forum posts on iPod Touch Fans, asked me to jump on board as a writer for his blog, which was then known as iPod Touchers. Never having blogged before, I was initially hesitant, but once I thought about blogging for a higher purpose, I decided that it would be a lot of fun to give it a shot. I always try and keep up on the latest news for my favourite devices anyway, I’ve done some half-baked journalism before in a Toronto-based Atari-centric print magazine called Current Notes (yeah, that dates back a ways), and I’m an opinionated bastard. Perfect!

In the weeks and months that followed, we both took the reigns of this humble blog from its Wordpress roots to its own domain, then to dedicated free hosting, then to dedicated paid hosting. We switched themes, plugins, and layouts, modified the PHP code and stylesheets, added new features left and right, removed other features that weren’t doing it for us, hired new writers, fired the new writers, and generally shaped this place up. Thus was my descent into blogaholism.

When I’m not working on the blog in one way or another or checking the daily stats obsessively, I have an ordinary day job too dull to mention. I also write music, do some graphic design, play games, and play outsourced tech support rep to friends and family. That’s pretty much it, really.

The picture above and to the right is fairly recent, taken at my brother-in-law’s on Canada Day 2007. I have no idea who the idiot holding me is.

Current hardware:
