Second Quake III Arena Video from HermitWorks

In case there were any doubters left, HermitWorks have released a more advanced video of their Q3A port to the iPod Touch. This video shows how they have modified the menu system to utilize the touchscreen. Everything appears to be there and functioning quite well — they’ve definitely done that one right. Perhaps more stunning however is a more detailed demonstration of gameplay as HermitWorks replays a stored game demo. If it wasn’t clear before, this video makes absolutely sure you get a mouthful o’ dust as the game fairly screams along through the stored gameplay demo, appearing to hit a full 60 frames per second with no frameskip.
Of course, all of this is still just a vicious tease if HermitWorks isn’t going to release it — and they probably still won’t due to complications arising from the SDK restrictions. However, I am hoping to hear back from them on this issue so we can put it to bed once and for all. Check out the blazin’ video below:
