Rogers and Fido customers who bought an iPhone 3G (or who are using an iPhone 2G with firmware 2.x on the Rogers/Fido network), does any of this apply to you?
You have turned off EDGE or 3G on your phone so as not to use data
You have requested through official channels that internet access be blocked [...]

It seems like user outcry has prevailed once again, this time from Rogers subscribers whose contracts were renewed too recently to be eligible for an upgrade to the iPhone 3G.
The new policy states that as long as you have been in your contract for at least 3 months with a voice plan that exceeds $30.01, [...]

For the past week there have been rumblings about some sort of super special announcement from Fido about special revised terms for early upgraders. Loads of Fido customers were rather put out with the release of the iPhone because they hadn’t made it far enough through their contracts to be eligible for an upgrade. [...]

Now there was a twist I was absolutely not expecting. It’s almost Hitchcockian.
The biggest gripe for Canadians when it comes to mobile technology? Rogers has the lock on the GSM market. (Fido is owned by Rogers, remember.) They have no useful competition to force them to offer more reasonable rates, and [...]

Canadians, can’t make it to a Rogers store? Don’t feel like spending all that time in line? Still not enticed by their free breakfast? Well, don’t worry. You can still see all of the madness and mayhem from the comfort of your armchair. RGB Filter has all lineups with none [...]

In more than two dozen countries, in about 8 hours (give or take, depending on your time zone and store hours), the iPhone 3G will be unleashed on the masses. Everyone who has been clamouring for it will finally be able to get their grubby mitts on one. In Canada particularly this is [...]

If I seem like I’m focusing on the iPhone in Canada situation a lot, I apologize — but obviously, this is a topic that hits where it hurts for both me and Jody, and for millions of other Canadians from what I’m reading.
Virtually no one is happy with Rogers’ rates, and the displeasure ranges from [...]

It’s the moment of truth, fellow Canucks. Rogers has finally unleashed its tailored iPhone data plans. The verdict? Ted still sucks. I’ll list the details of the plan here, but you’re not going to like them:

Those of you who thought we were done with the 3G rumours — well, you’ll just have to endure related ones a bit longer. We’re a Canadian site after all, so this is of particular interest to those of us in the Great Not-So-White North.
Seems that a Rogers Wireless retail employee received a voluminous tome [...]

Rumour time! You know the drill. Keep your heads up and noses sniffing for the scent of BS. This time we have a completely unsubstantiated “leak” of an internal Rogers memo that allegedly breaks down the iPhone data plans and pricing information.
HowardForums member i.Fido, who is fairly well respected around there, claims [...]

Us Canucks pretty much knew that Rogers will be tailoring a special data plan for the iPhone when it gets released on July 11th, but about all we’ve been able to get out of their mouth on the subject was an effective “no comment.”
Today, Rogers parted the veil — just enough to let a crack [...]

Apple was kind enough to dedicate a sole Apple web page to the huge list of 70 countries they have made deals to bring the iPhone 3G to within the year.
The list of countries supporting the iPhone 3G can be found here.
The web page shows a list of countries mass-releasing the iPhone 3G on July [...]

Eric just wrote about Rogers’ big secret yesterday, stating that we Canadians would have something new on July 11th. Does that date mean anything to you? Of course, if you’ve been paying any attention at all, you’d know by now that July 11th is the set date for the world-wide release of Apple’s iPhone 3G.
Well, [...]

You see that banner image up there? What do you suppose that big ol’ mysterious silhouetted device is that’s coming out July 11th? Yes, I’m being deliberately obtuse, because you’d have to be a complete moron not be able to do that kind of math: Rogers + Big Reveal on July 11th = [...]
