Adventures in SQL

Date January 18, 2009

Well, that was fun.  And by “fun” I mean “kill me now.”
Some of you may have noticed the downtime and the lovely “This account has been disabled” message when you tried to access TouchPodium, Frapstr or WebKit.  Turns out that a couple of databases had become a little screwed up and there were all kinds [...]

Temporary Performance Issues and Downtimes

Date November 22, 2008

Our host is currently in the process of upgrading their servers and applying a huge bandwidth increase, moving everyone over from servers running regular platter hard drives to ones running server-capable SSDs. This will result in massive performance increases and far fewer CPU bandwidth errors when things start getting really busy across the Podium Network.  [...]

I’ve been focusing a lot of effort on Frapstr since [...]

Just a quick note to fellow Canucks and readers everywhere who have been noticing that things are a bit slow right now.  I do apologize for the molasses-like pace right now; besides Jody working quite a bit and me focusing on building up Frapstr, it also happens to be the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend here, so [...]

Domain Issues

Date October 2, 2008

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have been experiencing some odd issues with our new domain names. androidpodium.com and frapstr.com have been experiencing problems with wildcarding (adding “www” or whatever to the base URL) and hiding the underlying URL structure.
As of right now, http://www.thepodiumnetwork.com has worked from the beginning somehow, and [...]
