iPhone Falls in Water Whilst Videotapping, Videotapes Whole Occurance

by Jody Mitoma on June 28, 2009 at 11:10 pm

This may or may not be true, but apparently Twitter user George Ruiz was taking his first video using the iPhone 3GS when he accidentally dropped in the nearby pool. Video provided at the end of this post.

UPDATE: Apparently the iPhone has a lanyard (a thin strap of sorts) attached to the device, which means it must of been covered with some sort of casing.

First thing I’d like to note is, is this guy really that clumsy, especially with a brand new cellphone? I’m not sure if this video is 100% truthful, as he may simply have recorded this video using a digital camera with a plastic case made to be able to record videos underwater.

I’m not one to judge, but you never know who to believe when it comes to internet postings. Take this however you will.

Check out the video below:

Um. Just because George Ruiz posted the link to the video doesn’t mean it was his phone. For one, the dork who dropped it in the pool doesn’t look like Mr. Ruiz, nor does the Twitter post or youtube video cite Mr. Ruiz as being the owner of the phone. Just sayin’
