Whether or Not You Should Buy an iPhone 3G S

The way I see it, if you currently do not own an iPhone, June 17th (June 19th for Canadians) is your time to get on it. The iPhone is an incredible device, and if you have yet to own one, you’re missing out.
With that said, I must warn you. If you are one of the ~270,000 people who purchased an iPhone (first generation), when they were first released to the public in June of 2007, then your 2-year contract with AT&T is about to expire. You’re the lucky ones. This means, you are able to buy the new iPhone 3G S for the same price as new customers; 16GB for $199, 32GM for $299. I highly suggest you take this opportunity, and do just that. For you other 6 million customers whom have purchased the first generation iPhone, I’d also suggest you wait for the plan to expire. It’s not much longer now.
AT&T is offering “valued customers” who upgrade early a price tag of; 16GB for $399, and 32GB for $499.
For you unlucky fellow, the full price for the new iPhone 3G is an eyesore. 16GB for $599, 32GB for $699.
If you can afford to spend over half a grand on a cellphone, then by all means go for it, but if you’re like myself, and refuse to spend such ridiculous amounts of cash on a cellular device, then you can play the waiting game.
The prices are there in plain sight, and the final choice is no one’s but your very own.
