Rogers Breaks Out New 6GB Data Plan for iPhone Customers

by Jody Mitoma on June 9, 2009 at 6:44 pm

Starting today, any activation as a new customer or upgrade to either the iPhone 3G, or the iPhone 3G S, is automatically eligible for the CAD $30.00 6GB iPhone Data Plan.

Do note that this offer is only for a limited time, so if you’re at all interested, which you should be, then get your butt in gear!

Here are the details for the plan:

  • Price: $30 per month
  • Data included per month: 6GB
  • Time frame: June 9, 2009 onward (Limited Time Offer)
  • Overages: 50¢/MB for the first 60MB, then 3¢/MB thereafter
  • Contract Term: Available on 3 year service agreement only or 3 year renewals
  • Device support: All iPhones: iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G “S”
  • Note: This data plan also makes you eligible for tethering. See more information here.

With the 6GB Data plan and a select Voice plan a penny over $30 or a bundled Voice/Data plan:

  • 8GB iPhone 3G will cost you $99.99 ($149.99 without an eligible plan)
  • 16GB iPhone 3G will cost you $179.99 ($229.99 without an eligible plan)
  • 16GB iPhone 3G “S” will cost you $199.99 ($249.99 without an eligible plan)
  • 32GB iPhone 3G “S” will cost you $299.99 ($349.99 without an eligible plan)

I’d hop on this if I didn’t already have a contract with Rogers. I’m currently on my second year, and will not pay a ridiculous cancellation fee.
