The iPhone 3G [S], Details, and the Official Apple Guided Tour

Well, WWDC has gone underway, and the new iPhone has been announced. We all had a really strong gut feeling that a new iPhone would be announced this month, this year, but nobody was for certain.
Now it has been announced. The new iPhone device from Apple is named the iPhone 3G S, the S standing for “Speed”. With that in mind, it is quite apparent that this new iPhone will be faster than the previous generation iPhone.
The very first thing you will notice about the iPhone 3G S, is that the device looks like an exact replica of the iPhone 3G. Fact is, you may easily mistake the iPhone 3G S for an iPhone 3G, if you didn’t take a look at the rear of the device, most likely showing the name of the device in small print.
Having a look at the iPhone 3G S Guided Tour provided by Apple, you will also find out that this new iPhone now has video capturing capabilities. Fantastic! Hundreds of thousands of people have been wanting this since the release of the first iPhone, let alone the iPhone 3G. We’ve finally got the ability to capture video, and share with others, using nothing but your very iPhone 3G S.
Another thing that this new device features, is voice control. That’s right. Voice control. All you must do is press and hold the Home button. Then, say a voice command, example, “Call Tim Burton”, or “Call 555-1054″. The device will repeat what it thinks you said, and proceed to process the action. You are also capable of saying things such as “Play Eminem – 3am”, and it’ll play that song, or, what’s even more impressive, is saying something like “What song is play?”. The device will literally tell you what song is currently playing. Cool!
They’ve added beneath the device’s hard outer surface, a compass. The compass, as one would expect, is able to tell you which direction you are facing. It is just like a standard magnetic needle compass. You can use True North, or Magnetic North settings.
Cut, Copy & Paste, anyone? Yeah, everyone. This has been wanted by almost every iPhone owner in the past, and finally, Apple has given us our demand. We knew it was coming, but now we’ve got just a couple weeks to wait, until it’s finally ours. Jailbroken iPhone’s have had this for quite some time now, of course, but for those of you who do not jailbreak, such as myself, the better for us.
MMS has been added to the iPhone 3G S. You are now able to share pictures, videos, and more with this ability. You can even share map locations. Another cool feature, is the ability to save any received photo’s and files to your iPhone device. Sweet.
A nifty feature that has been added, is the ability to search quicker, and better, including the usage of Spotlight Search.
