PwnageTool and QuickPwn for Firmware 2.2 Released

Proving that the Dev Team aren’t just on the ball, they’re dribbling it and shooting three-pointers with their feet, QuickPwn and PwnageTool have been released for Firmware 2.2.
These two tools will properly jailbreak your iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and first-gen iPod Touch (sorry, no 2nd gen Touch support yet, and no iPhone 3G unlocking yet either). There are some important caveats to be wary of however, so make sure to read their blog post, both for details plus web and torrent links to the latest versions of PwnageTool (Mac-only right now) and QuickPwn (Mac and Windows).
Those of you who have been holding out on the latest firmware for a jailbreak option, hold out no longer. Those who did go the iTunes route to upgrade already — well, get ready to do another upgrade. But once you do, you’ll be able to pwn just fine.

ya so when will the 2nd gen ipod touch be able to get unlocked? and why is it taking longer to get unlocked than all the older ipods?

I agree with this guy! When the he’ll Are the unlocking the 2g ipod touch?I am typing this on mine right now but it’s not jailbroken. And I am so tired of people putting out FAKE ass videos on YouTube that’s just dumb. So be considerate and just wait Nd stop pesstering people. But cronic or iPhone dev really does need to hurry the he’ll up. If this was any sort of iPhone this son of a bitch would already be done and reAdy to go the moment it came out. So just please hurry for All of us iPod users!
