Wirelessly Controlled iPhone Robot Makes for Easy Motion Video Capture

by Jody Mitoma on November 6, 2008 at 11:54 am

From the person that made an iPhone with an actual keyboard, comes an iPhone robot that allows the user to control said device via a nearby computer.

Using a jailbroken iPhone 3G running on some Ruby code, an Arduino CPU, a TA7291P motor, and 4 AA batteries, the creator has the ability to pilot the iPhone bot via WiFi from a nearby computer, all while recording its view via the iPhone’s camera.

Have a look at said project in motion, as it is pretty neat indeed.
