The iPod Turns Seven

The Apple iPod celebrates its 7th birthday today, and will without a doubt celebrate many more.
Apple’s iPod lineup has surely changed since its debut announcement in 2001, with more and more choices to choose from as the years went by. Generations and generations have been announced every few months/years, and Apple always has new and improved iPod lineups in store for us every so many years.
It all started off with the iPod (Classic, as it is known to this day), which Apple then announced the Nano lineup, Shuffle lineup, and Touch lineup.
Who knows what Apple’s got in store for us after the Touch, but we’re certain that it’ll be something new and innovative, as Apple has yet to let us down.

iPod has put a strangle hold on the MP3 market and they are not letting go. What sets them above everyone else is their ability to combine design with function. They were able to get it right and it is paying off.

I love Steve Wozniak, but I think he is WAY off base saying the iPod is on the way out.
