OLO Thinking of Building an iPhone-Powered Netbook
by Jody Mitoma on October 17, 2008 at 2:16 am

This thing will be powered by your iPhone, and be used as a touchpad, too. How’s that for innovative use of another product to build a completely extrodinary product entirely?
Albeit this product may be ugly looking, I will admit, the idea as a whole is quite smart. No one has done this yet, and if OLO’s dream of bringing this product to the mass market comes true, it just may sell well. Although I wouldn’t see myself personally purchasing one, I do see others wanting one as christmas gifts and the likes.
The product would require you to slap in your iPhone into the palm rest, and from there the handset would act as the brains of the product, and would of course be used as the trackpad as well.
There are no product specifications announced yet, but if this product does get past the production lines, we will be sure to let you know.
If you’re at all interested, check out OLO’s “teaser” page here. The teaser page simply has the OLO logo, the image which is found at the top of this post, and the text “Sorry, but your PC is out !”, although, I don’t quite follow suite what they are trying to tell us there…
