New Rogers/Fido iPhone Plans “Confirmed” for October

Look, this comes from an alleged Fido employee, but knowing as I do how little information retail drones are usually given in advance, I would still take this with a grain of salt and chalk it up to rumour.
According to ehPhone member WorldIRC, the new Rogers/Fido inclusive plans will read something like this:
$60 iPhone Plan
1GB Data
250 Daytime minutes
Unlimited evenings after 7 PM, unlimited weekends
Unlimited network calling (Rogers/Fido to/from other Rogers/Fido customers)
Visual voicemail
75 SMS messages
Access to Rogers/Fido hotspots (I presume not free as they are currently)
$75 iPhone Plan
2GB Data
400 Daytime minutes
Unlimited evenings after 7 PM, unlimited weekends
Unlimited network calling
Visual voicemail
100 SMS messages
Access to Rogers/Fido hotspots
If true, these plans are a bit weak. The tiny number of text messages is pretty sad, and none of these plans include caller ID/visual call waiting, so you’ll have to go for another bundle to add those — but a messaging plan would probably add more text messages as well. Sure, they’re better than Rogers and Fido’s original offerings last July, but it’s not hard to outdo those ridiculous plans.
Again, this is not official confirmation of any kind, so we’re just going to have to wait and see if they pan out in a week’s time.
Speaking of which, remember that there’s less than a week left to take advantage of the current $30, 6GB data plan, so any of you who have been holding out, it’s now or never.
