Possiblity of Apple Selling 10 Million iPhones and Macs in 2008

by Jody Mitoma on September 23, 2008 at 1:22 am

Analysts are predicting that Apple just may sell 10 million iPhone’s in 2008 alone, and quite frankly, the same goes for their Mac line-up of computers.

Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray has recently upped his estimates of how many iPhone’s, iPod’s, and Mac’s he thinks Apple will sell Q4 of 2008. He went from a previous estimation of 2.5 million Mac’s,  to 2.8 milion. 10.8 million iPod’s, to 11 million. 4.1 million iPhones, to 5 million even.

Munster also states that last quarter, which ended in June, the iPhone accounted for only 4% of booked revenue for Apple. This quarter, he estimates that the iPhone will account for an astonishing 21%.

If Apple were to actually make the 10 million iPhone and Mac sells this year, that would mark a new record for the company, in its entire lifespan.

You can do it Apple. Come on, bring out some intense television commercials and advertisements… or something.

I see that picture and my first thought is “Man, imagine how much money I could make selling that lot on eBay.”
