HTC’s Dream vs BlackBerry’s Bold vs Apple’s iPhone 3G - A Consumer Report

A blog which goes by the name Quickly Bored, has decided to compare three top-of-the-line cellphones which have just recently been released, or are to be released within the next few weeks.
Within the blog post, Kyle of Quickly Bored takes the time to compare the juicy details of the upcoming HTC Dream, BlackBerry’s shiny, new Bold, and Apple’s recently released iPhone 3G.
Within the post, Kyle has provided the specs of all three cellular phones, as well as a demo video of each product in action.
If you’re stuck not knowing what cellphone you want to purchase, and at least two of the cellphones on your list of options are within the image provided above, I strongly suggest you take a look at this comparison post, as it provides some quality details of all three products.
One huge difference between the iPhone 3G and the HTC Dream that I’d like to point out is the fact that the HTC Dream (as well as any and all other phone’s based on Google’s Android OS) will be capable of running more than one application at a time, meaning apps can run in the background, unlike Apple’s iPhone and iPhone 3G devices.
You may look at this as being a bonus, but please bare in mind that it is very possible that Apple had the right idea with this one. Having applications running in the background all the time will be rough on the cellphone’s battery life. Very rough. Would you rather a cellphone that could play music and surf Google Maps at the same time, but bare half the battery life, or a cellphone that could only do one at a time, but last twice as long as the latter? Well, once the HTC Dream is available on store shelves, you will have this choice - and that choice is all yours.
