Apple’s Remote App Gets an Update; Genius Feature Added

Apple released an update for the Remote application found via the App Store or through iTunes yesterday. The update adds Genius functionality to the iPhone application. Of course, if you want to make use of the new update, you will have to update your iTunes version to 8.0 beforehand, otherwise you’re basically wasting your time.
Genius functionality was added to iTunes just last week at Apple’s Let’s Rock event – when iTunes 8 was revealed and released for download.
For more information on what Genius is, and how it works - see here.
Also added to the update (according to a TUAW reader) is the ability to switch to AirTunes speakers directly from the “now playing” screen.
Apple’s Remote.app is a very useful tool for those whom are too lazy to walk up to their computer’s to change the song, or raise / lower the volume. For more information on Apple’s Remote application see the iTunes application link provided below.
Apple updated their iTunes Remote application page, so if you’re at all interested in reading the updates, click here.
