Press Release: MyWeather Mobile Offering Only Full-Screen Animated Radar on iPhone

The weather app on the iPhone is useful, but pretty limited, let’s face it. We’ve had FixxWeather MyWeather Mobile however seems to have taken the time and really do things up right, as you’ll see in this press release:
Madison, WI - MyWeather, LLC has announced MyWeather Mobile, a weather information application for iPhone. For years we’ve been able to access high-quality weather maps, current conditions and forecasts via television or the web. MyWeather Mobile(TM), a top selling application available in Apple’s App Store, allows users to access this information on the go, and also provides full screen interactive radar.
MyWeather Mobile combines stunning, high-quality animated radar with Microsoft(R) Virtual Earth technology, letting you view weather conditions at your specific location - or any other location around the country. Turning the phone horizontally truly puts you in control by displaying a full-screen version of the map and radar, allowing you to pinch, flick, zoom, and double tap the map down to the street level, exactly as a broadcast meteorologist would. This precision also allows you to view golf courses, schools, stadiums, or any other key points of interest and view the radar at that exact location.
“Our unique position as a content provider to the broadcast industry allows us to offer consumer weather solutions that otherwise wouldn’t have been available”, said Terry Kelly, CEO of MyWeather, LLC and sister company, Weather Central, Inc. “MyWeather Mobile’s full screen interactive radar is a great example of a feature you won’t find on any other iPhone or iPod Touch application.”
In addition to the interactive radar, MyWeather Mobile also offers accurate and robust weather data including current conditions, temperature, precipitation, wind speed, and 12-hour trends. GPS technology allows you to automatically receive the current conditions and forecast for your exact location, and you can store multiple locations on your device to quickly check 3 or 6 day forecasts for the places that matter to you most.

Looks pretty impressive, as weather apps go. My complaint? It isn’t available in the Canadian App Store, so I can’t even give it an objective mini-review. Yet another dev give us Canucks the snub.
