Spore Origins Coming to the iPhone Sept. 12th

by Jody Mitoma on September 4, 2008 at 6:11 pm

According to Will Wright (developer), it is being said that Spore Origins will be available via the iPhone App Store and iTunes as September 12th, which is not this Friday but the next.

Some unfortunate news of the game specifically mentioned by TUAW are the facts that the game will not have online play nor will you have the ability to character transfer within the game itself, thus the iPhone version of the game will in no way be related to that of the PC version coming out later this year.

Spore Origins will cost you $4.99, and whether or not it is worth that $5 bill is up to you.

No connectivity with the PC version? Then why the hell bother then? Seriously, for a game that is hinging so much on online content, this is asinine.

    They just lost a sale.
