JoyPod a No-Go, Says Belkin

by Jody Mitoma on September 2, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Remember yesterday’s post about Belkin’s upcoming JoyPod gaming controller? Well, it was all a hoax. That’s right - rumors at their best. (Don’t you just hate rumors?)

Belkin got in contact with Touch Arcade this evening and made sure to let them know that the JoyPod that they supposedly had in development was not true, and should be announced as so, as soon as possible.

Looks like we’ll have to rely on iControlPad for an iPhone gaming controller — and even then, who knows if it’ll work with Apple’s App Store games. Apple needs to approve.

So much for relying on international-languaged sources, huh?
