Interactive Album Applications Coming to the App Store

It sounds like Apple’s got some good things in their sleeves set for release this month (September).
So far we know that iTunes 8.0 is rumored to be released, new iPod’s of sorts, and now interactive album applications for the app store.
Interactive album apps are said to feature the music of the given album (duh), album artwork and photography, behind-the-scenes images, lyrics and possibly even more. The interactive album apps will most likely be downloadable via the App Store, or through iTunes itself – most likely with the rival of iTunes 8.0.
No information on how much these apps will cost, but my guess is that it’ll be around the same price as the album would cost via iTunes.
Snow Patrol has been announced to be one of – if not – the first to have their interactive album available for download through Apple.
Hey, with all the piracy going on these days, companies have to try something new, else risk loss of album sales, and this looks like the way to go. Sounds pretty nifty, if I do say so myself.
