Apple to Fix iPhone Passcode Flaw in September

by Jody Mitoma on August 31, 2008 at 5:34 pm

Apple is working on fixing the passcode lock bypass, which they call a “minor iPhone security issue”. It is said that the company will be releasing an update in September to fix the issue. Firmware 2.1 anyone?

For now, Apple informs us that there is a temporary fix for those whom are worried about the issue. For more security, feel free to simply change your home button double-click function to take you to the springboard screen if you have it set up as something otherwise. Don’t worry, it’s only temporary. You can switch it right back once Apple has released their upcoming firmware fix.
