How To: Take Macro Shots with Your iPhone

by Jody Mitoma on August 28, 2008 at 7:33 pm

It rather sucks that the iPhone doesn’t have macro-focus, doesn’t it?..

Actually, it does, and it’s as easy as opening your iPhone up (yes, this mod requires disassembly), scrapping a bit of glue, and turning the inner lens. That’s it! There are full instructions on how to do so just below.

Check out the full how to with photos here.

Hey cool, now you can take some beautifully detailed photographs with the crappy iPhone camera. Horrah!

If any of you readers decide to go along with the mod, please take some macro-photographs and share it with us all. We’d be delighted to comment on your photography.
