‘Real Racing’ Game May Be Coming to the iPhone

by Jody Mitoma on August 19, 2008 at 11:21 pm

Firemint has recently made available a video of a racing game on the iPhone they call Real Racing. It is not fully known if Real Racing will make it to the App Store, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t eventually be available.

The video demos the game being played on an iPhone. As you can see if you were to watch the video below, the game features a dashboard-view, and an overhead-view.

What’s more is that this game is supposed to support multiplayer head-to-head racing via Wi-Fi, and feature social networking capabilities (show off your race time results on Facebook, Myspace, etc.)

Have a look at the exceptionally well done video below:

With all honesty, this game looks like a keeper, and would definitely be worth three or four of my morning coffee’s!

Looking pretty sweet! They have a whole crapload of on-device replay videos here (whether they’re from the iPhone or not I don’t know but it looks very nice indeed. Some noticeable polygon shearing problems) that I hope they deal with before release though, and a variety of scenery would be cool too, but otherwise, a very solid-looking racer.

The Iphone will become the largest mobile gameing platform and will top the PSP and possibley the DS.
