MobileChat Now Available Via App Store

by Jody Mitoma on August 13, 2008 at 2:45 pm

Developers Twenty08 released an instant messaging client for the iPhone on Tuesday.

The client supports AIM, ICQ, .Mac, MobileMe, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, GTalk, and Jabber users.

MobileChat is fairly useful in comparison to other instant messaging clients, allowing you to take and send images, IM a phone number from any of your 10 supported IM accounts, and allows use of the upcoming Push Notification when the application is closed using the home button. This is already implemented into the application itself, but of course, cannot be used until Apple released Push Notification officially - which will most likely be within the 2.1 firmware.
