Woah, no way!
Its officially happened – Line Rider has made it to the iPhone!.. Well, not quite, but close enough.
Flying Rider is the equivalent of Line Rider, except, for the iPhone.
Line Rider was the most anticipated game to be brought to the iPhone last year. The jailbreak scene has been asking for a Line Rider port ever since gaming has been brought to the iPhone almost a year ago. Many have been stating that it wasn’t possible because Line Rider was codded in Flash, which the iPhone did not support. Well looky here folks. A Line Rider-type of game has made it to the iPhone, and it’s about damn time, too!
To play the game, you basically use your finger to draw the line which the sled driver will follow once you’ve hit “Play”. What’s most cool about Flying Rider, is that it actually makes use of the iPhone’s accelerometer. How it seems to work is, when your sled rider is in mid-air, you can give your iPhone a small shake, which will cause the riders sled to switch the direction it is rotating. For example, if the sled is rotating in a counter-clockwise direction, shaking the iPhone will cause the sled driver to start rotating in a clockwise direction, making it easier to control landings.
Also, something Eric just found out, the game even supports landscape, which is phenomenal.
Have a look at the game in action via the video below:
Now this is a great game to pass time. Go on and download it via the App Store today! Best of all, it’s free!
