Slasher Application Slashed From App Store!

It seems Apple enjoys being in the middle of rants and customer and developer anger, but this time they’ve dug themselves in a deeper hole. The Slasher application will join the likes of Netshare, Box Office and I Am Rich for being pulled out of the App Store for no said reason.
Oddly, this application doesn’t really do that much. Basically, the Slasher application only displays an image of a knife on the screen and every time you slash you iPhone/iPod Touch it’ll let out a bloodcurdling sound. The only questionable offence this application could have is that the actual content of this application is “objectionable”. Maybe Apple doesn’t want their own application to virtually stab them.
What peeves me the most, is if this application was never allowed on the App Store in the first place then why didn’t it get rejected once it was submitted rather than after it was actually in the App Store? Something tells me that Apple needs to fix their application reviewing method before they get realistically stabbed.
