PhoneSaber Pulled From App Store

In the past couple weeks we’ve been experiencing some applications such as Netshare or Box Office being removed and added back onto the App Store daily. But now, it appears that the ever popular free application Phone Saber has been removed from the App Store. But this time it wasn’t for an unknown reason like NullRiver’s applications. The big boys, from THQ Wireless (who own the rights to Star Wars application oh mobile phones) had a chat with TheMacBox and had them take it down.
But don’t think that’s the end of the PhoneSaber, it’s been confirmed that THQ Wireless will team up with TheMacBox and collaborate to make a new and better Phone Saber with a more of a Star Wars theme. There hasn’t been a lot of info given about the project such as what THQ Wireless will use Phone Saber for (such as advertisement for the upcoming Star Wars The Force Unleashed game title) or if it’ll be free or cost a couple dollars once it’s released again.
TheMacBox told the public that when they plan on working on PhoneSaber with THQ Wireless, they’ll be able to access the whole library of Star Wars sounds making the audio a whole lot better. They’re also taking user request on what they want on the next PhoneSaber. We’ll be waiting for the next version of PhoneSaber, (of if its renamed) meanwhile we’re left with terrible look a likes and wanna-be applications.

Lucky I already got PhoneSaber, so I can still enjoy it until a new one is out.
But this is a blessing in disguise. Now that THQ got mad about the app, they will work with the developer to create a better Star Wars app and everything will be right with the world when the new app is out in the future.
