Facebook Connect Coming to the iPhone This Fall

July 23rd, Benjamin Ling revealed that Facebook will be releasing a Cocoa framework for the iPhone that will application developers to integrate with Facebook Connect. It is expected that the framework will be released sometime this coming fall, and will be in the form of an SDK that can be used by iPhone application developers. Facebook Connect allows applications to integrate the Facebook platform and the identity of users into their own applications.

As of now, Facebook Connect is only available for web apps, but the announcement of an iPhone SDK shows how Facebook is considering both mobile and desktop platforms in the near future.
