iPhone 2.0 Supports Playback of WAV Voicemail

by Jody Mitoma on July 17, 2008 at 11:20 am

The iPhone was previous not able to play .wav voicemail files fom home phone services such as Vonage and AT&T. Since the iPhone 3G has been released, along-side the iPhone 2.0 OS, .wav voicemail files are now playable on the iPhone and iPhone 3G’s.

There was in fact someone by the name of TJ Luoma working on fixing this issue before the iPhone 2.0 OS was released – and he was supposedly 95% done the project – when the iPhone 2.0 OS was released, and had already given full support for .wav voicemail files.

And for those of you who’ve noticed I haven’t been around as much lately, it’s because I recently got a new job, and have been fairly busy with that and other rounds. I’ll try my best to make time for postings more often. Eric has been doing a fantastic job keeping you all up to date with the latest news, and I’m thankful for that. Take care, fellow readers!
