For those that don’t remember, Europa Universalis — which is based on the French strategic board game of the same name — came out for the PC platform back at the turn of the century and became a hit amongst strategy nuts for its incredible depth of play and strong elements of strategy. EU is currently on it’s THIRD iteration and continues to be huge. Lot of folk I know rave over it. (And their WW2 version, “Hearts of Iron”.

Four, if you count EU: Rome as part of the canon. It’s great to see some big name titles come to the iPhone though — even if they are ports, they further prove the platform’s worthiness for gaming as much as utility.

Wow this looks great. And i really like the sound of the WW2 version.
This is the kind of thing i was hoping to see on the App Store.
Any estimated release date? Are we looking at sometime this year?
