Firmware 1.1.5 Release for iPod Touch

Wait, what? No, you aren’t hallucinating. Apple has decided to go ahead and release an update version 1.1.5 for the iPod Touch. The new firmware mainly features some bug fixes and security updates, and some users are reporting a slight speed increase and better stability.

For those who are wondering, yes, ZiPhone will jailbreak it, but if you do install and jailbreak, you are advised to install FWChanger and have it set your firmware version to 1.1.4, otherwise some apps that check your firmware version will fail to run, thinking you’re running a newer and possibly incompatible firmware version.

Note that 1.1.5 does not include the App Store (such apps would not be compatible anyway), this is really only to fix up some of the issues with 1.1.4.

Oh, and the update is free, so you can save your $10 if you aren’t yet ready to take the leap to 2.0. You can download the update directly from Apple’s servers using this link or (I have to assume, because I won’t see it since I’m already on 2.0) through iTunes.

    Really ?
Does ZiPhone fully work with it ?
    It should unlock it perfectly.
But about activation it shouldn’t… but I haven’t tested it..
