The iPhone 3G is Great and All, but Will it Blend?

by Eric March on July 12, 2008 at 5:23 pm

You remember last year? Remember when the iPhone first came out? The hype, the excitement, the lineups? Remember when Blendtec’s Tom Dickson showed off how well his Blendtec blender could make an iPhone smoothie? Good times, good times. Well, except for the iPhone smoothie part, which just made some people recoil in horror.

Yeah, um, those of you who did? You might want to just give this article a pass and jump down to the more tech-friendly bits below, because Tom? He’s back. And he has an iPhone 3G. Oh, don’t worry though — now that he’s got his shiny new 3G, he doesn’t have any use for his old iPhone, so he’s just going to blend tha— oopsie!

If you’ve a strong stomach, check out the vid below. Don’t worry — it’s okay for a grown man to cry.

Ah well… Looks like he got a lung full of the dust from the blender when he took the lid off. Guarantee that’s LOADED with carcinogens, so karma will have its way with him for committing such an atrocity…

Considering the sheer number of things-you-should-not-blend that he has blended, I’d wager that his cells have already mutated far beyond cancer and now look remarkably like Eddie van Halen. (Present-day Halloween pumpkinhead Eddie, not the classic geeky-lookin’-but-shreds-a-mean-guitar Eddie.)
