Apple Stores world-wide have been slowly running out of current generation iPhones. Apple’s Online Store has also run out of iPhone stock a few weeks ago. Now it is AT&T’s turn to share the news of stock depletion. As of June 5th, AT&T’s website states that they are officially “Out of stock” for both the 8GB and 16GB iPhones.
With iPhones now available neither from Apple nor its only US wireless partner, inventory is almost certainly being cleared for the introduction of a new model.
Current generation iPhones are still available for purchase over eBay, but you’ll have to be willing to pay approximately $600 - $700 for a 16GBer.
Apple’s WWDC08 conference debuts on June 9th, 2008, with the first day of the conference bringing forth a Keynote presented by Apple’s very own Steve Jobs. That’s less than two days from now. It’s almost a guarantee that a new generation of iPhones are to be sold within the month.
