Learn to Type on Your iPhone with TypingWeb; Now Free

by Jody Mitoma on June 3, 2008 at 6:00 pm

Just recently get yourself an iPhone? Or maybe you’re thinking of buying one of Steve’s upcoming 3G iPhones and you have a feeling you’ll be a horrible typer with the iPhone’s touch screen keyboard? No problem. TypingWeb will help you become a quicker typer, may it be on your desktop computer, or on your newly purchased iPhone.

TypingWeb is a web-based typing tutor. It’s been around since 2004 as a paid service, but has just recently opened its doors to everyone for free.

The product includes lessons in the home keys, correct finger placement, helpful shortcuts, and bundles them with exercises that apply what you’ve learned.

The lessons range from easy to difficult. Some of them are apparently “insanely difficult”, according to Webware. We’ll let you be the judge of that one though.
