iCooly Turns Your Touch Into a Mini Desktop

Is your iPod Touch dreaming of growing up to be an iMac? RockRidgeSound wants to get it there a little faster with their new aluminum iCooly stand. In addition to giving your Touch a distinctly iMac appearance, the iCooly stand also swivels 90° to allow you to orient your Touch to suit your acvitivites. The stand also features a cutout for the dock connector and headphone jack, and they’re also nice enough to give you a headphone extension cord in the box.

The stand, which will retail for a slightly dear ¥4,980 (approx. US $47) when it is released next week (June 7th), is quite light at only 55g, but my main concern would be stability, as it looks like it may not stand up to those of you who get unnecessarily stabby with it. Other than that however, it looks like just the thing for watching videos or even playing games or surfing without having to hold it up.

No word if this one will be available outside Japan, but I’d like to see it on this continent. It would look awesome on my desk at work.

And before you ask, no, this won’t work with the iPhone.
