TeliaSonera Bringing iPhone to Seven Additional Countries by Years End

Can ya believe it? The iPhone isn’t done making its way around the world just yet.
That’s right. According to a one-sentence press release made last week, Apple and TeliaSonera have made deals to bring the iPhone to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia by the years end.
“TeliaSonera today announced it has signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia later this year.” (link)
Apple will now be selling the delicious iPhone in 67 countries by the end of 2008 (see here). Wow! Now that is an accomplishment, if I do say so myself.
With 115 million subscribers, TeliaSonera (TLSN.ST) is the largest Nordic and Baltic State fixed-line, broadband and mobile operator, according to the latest MobileWorld report. Based in Stockholm, it serves some of the world’s most sophisticated cell phone users.
Now, if only Steve can make some sort of deal with China Mobile.. Then things will take off, fast.
