PhoneZap: Bringing Photo Sharing, Geo-Tagging, and Ringtone Creation All-in-One

PhoneZap allows you to share your photos with others - which is nothing entirely new in the iPhone-era. However, the application also allows you to create ringtones - right from within the application itself. This is a pretty nifty feature. Not too sure how this has anything to do with photo sharing, or sharing at all, unless the application developer plans on making it possible to share ringtones in the near future, but it is a nice added feature none-the-less.

To create your very own ringtone with PhoneZap, simply choose any song on your iPhone, pick the start and end points of the ringtone itself using a roller bar, test it out and see if you like it - if not, tweak it to your likings - then save it. Voila! You now have yourself an entirely custom-made ringtone in just minutes. The ringtones show up within the Settings menu instantly - ready for use.

The application also allows you to upload photos to a social networking website - PhoneZap, but of course, the website being new and all, there aren’t all that many photos and members as of yet. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all just get along and sign up to a single social networking / photo sharing website? How much easier would that make things…

Anyway, PhoneZap is available via Installer, so go on and have a search now if you’re at all interested.

    This app is pretty cool… It crashes for me sometimes, but for the most part works great. Ringtones work fine for me but a friend of mine said that when people call he only gets ‘Marimba’…. other then that the app is pretty cool, I’m sure they’re get the bugs out as soon as possible.

    hey anonymous.. i have the same problem with my ringtone thingy too.. did your friend ever find out how to get the ringtones to work?
