Spec-Works Unveil Vista Perfection

There are a lot of Summerboard themes available for the Touch, but very few of them go so far as to essentially give your entire iPod Touch or iPhone a compelte makeover. MMi forum member elb4287, operating under the name Spec-Works, has added one more to this exclusive club. Dubbed Vista Perfection, this completely remodels your UI with a desktop-like appearance complete with sidebar and and taskbar, lock, boot and restore screens, over 90 icons, and much more.
Unfortunately, there’s a fair bit of legwork involved in installing this theme. To begin with, it requires Categories to be installed, as it makes extensive use of Categories to move applications into their own folders. You will also need to SSH into your device to add boot, restore and lock screens, plus do a bit of maintenance. There is a pretty detailed list of instructions over on this MMi thread.
Spec-Works is currently working on a way to get this put on the BigBoss repo and make the process mostly automated. (You’ll probably still have to organize with Categories, but the SSH work may be eliminated if he can pull it off.) In the mean time you can download it for manual install from the above-linked MMi thread.
