MyMedia 0.89; Allows You to Download Media via YouTube & Mobile Safari

by Jody Mitoma on May 14, 2008 at 7:59 pm

MyMedia.app allows you to download videos and music played in the YouTube.app and Mobile Safari onto your iPhone/iPod Touch. After you install the application, any music or video you play within YouTube.app or Mobile Safari, will be added to the application. When you open up MyMedia, you will be presented with a list of all the media you’ve downloaded, a list of known bugs, and a list of future functions to come.

The list of downloaded files are not actually saved on the iPhone/iPod Touch itself. You must first tap on it, which will then start the downloading process. Once you’ve done this, the files will be saved on your device.

Once you’ve downloaded the media, you will be given three options; Download, Play, or Cancel. If you select Play, it will play the file – but will not download it to the device. If you select Download, you will be presented with a screen where you can change the file name.

Once the file is downloaded, it will show up in either the “Music” or “Video” list for later-viewing/listening.

The downloaded files are kept in the ~/Media/MyMedia folder on your iPhone.

Please note: You must play through QuickTime videos entirely if you want it to show up in the MyMedia Download section.

What are you waiting for? Go on and download MyMedia via the iPod Touched Repository; ipodtouched.net/repo.xml
