Rogers Wireless Employees Are Clueless About the iPhone Coming to Canada
by Jody Mitoma on May 13, 2008 at 3:30 pm

According to a representative I spoke to over the phone, Rogers Wireless employees working the telemarketing centers - or, at least the man I spoke with - know nothing about the upcoming Apple iPhone coming to Canada.
The representative I spoke with even went as far as searching multiple systems, and was unable to find any products from Apple as of yet.
Of course, this is nothing short of what I was expecting, but I figured I’d give it a shot none-the-less. I’m guessing my best bet would be to physically walk into a Rogers Store here in town, and ask the employees face-to-face, but I’m too lazy to do so as of now.
I expect Rogers Wireless will announce the new product once the 3G iPhone is revealed and is given a beginning sales date - which I hope occurs at WWDC08 this June.
None-the-less, I will keep you all informed of any new information I personally find out in regards to the iPhone coming to Canada, my fellow Canadians.

It’s Rogers, of course they know nothing. Even when the iPhone is released they’ll know nothing.
THEY ARE A CANADIAN COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY:)

as a rogers video employee, so far as a customer service rep…even if we knew the date of release of the iphone, we are sworn not to let anyone know. (which is frustrating as an employee as people get upset when you say “for more information i can give you this website to go look up for half an hour lol) i am not in any way defending the employee you spoke to, but just two weeks ago we were told that we aren’t allowed to give the release date even if we knew it. hope this eases you a bit.
(not that i LOVE my job lol… but i like to make sure my customers have what they need and when i can’t provide it for whatever reason makes my job frustrating.)
