Vita Audio’s R4 iPod Dock Looks Lovely; Not Yet Available

Would you have a look at that gorgeous piece of hardware!… No, I’m not talking about the iPod Touch standing on top of the R4 - although, I must admit, the iPod Touch is quite the stylish piece!… I’m talking about the R4 itself!

Don’t get too excited though, folks. This think will cost you a hefty chunk of change. I mean, just below a grand. That’s right. You won’t be walking away with one of these suckers unless you’re willing to spend 980 bucks - or if you’re a skilled shoplifter, but we won’t get into that…

Vita Audio’s R4 is an all-in-one unit packed with an iPod dock, slot-loading CD/MP3/WMA-music disc player, USB port, DAB and FM tuner with RDS, front and rear auxiliary ports, built-in display, alarm clock function, and the firm’s detachable RotoDial remote. Holy mouth full!

You don’t fancy the wood-look yourself? Not a problem ’cause nor do I. That is where the high-gloss white version - which, by the way, costs an additional $49 - comes into play.

Oh yea, one more thing… Even if you are one of the folks willing to buy one of these beasts, you’ll have to wait it out. There is no official release date for the R4 as of yet.
