Rumor: Australian iPhones to be Sold Unlocked

by Jody Mitoma on May 7, 2008 at 5:46 pm

Australian iPhone\'sAccording to a friendly TUAW bird, Vodafone will not be the exclusive carrier for iPhone users in Australia.

In fact, iPhone’s are to be sold unlocked at all Apple Stores within the country.

The Sydney Morning Herald has published confirmation that Australia-based Telstra and Optus will also carry the iPhone.

A bloody lucky bunch of lads, aren’t they?
