AT&T Memo Hints at June iPhone 2.0 Release

Some of you may recall last summer around this time a memo that circulated amongst AT&T retail outlets telling employees not to take any vacations between June 15th and July 15th in preparation for a big promotional launch. That launch, of course, was for the iPhone.
Well, it’s that time of year again, and once again, AT&T is apparently circulating another memo, this time telling employees not to take any vacation time between June 15th and July 12th, citing “an exciting promotional launch” as the reason employees should stay put and man their battle stations. It’s a pretty good bet that they’re not talking about the latest Nokia or Moto gadget, and the only really big launch on the radar right now is, of course, the iPhone 2.0. While it’s still nothing concrete, the timing is right, and if the the circulation of the memo is indeed true, and the reasoning for the moratorium on leisure time has the same basis, then it stands to reason we will likely be seeing the announcement of the iPhone 2.0 at WWDC as rumoured, with a product rollout over the next couple of weeks, likely to coincide with the unveiling of the App Store.
Keep your fingers crossed.
