dualsim042708.jpgSo you want two phone numbers, aye? One phone number just not cutting it for ya?… No worries. Uneasy Silence has got the solution for you!

There is actually more than one way to get your iPhone to have two phone numbers - the all AT&T (hacked and unhacked) method, and the mixed network method.

Before getting started, you will need to get your hands on a dual SIM holder. There is a jailbreaking way, and a non-jailkbreaking way to do this. Most people prefer the jailbreaking and unlocking method (using ZiPhone), which allows you to switch SIM’s on the fly within the iPhone software. Yes, Apple gave the iPhone dual SIM support.

Continue reading the how-to guide here.

Once you’ve followed the steps found above, you’ll have a new settings tab which reads SIM Applications. (see below)

Under the SIM applications menu you can now select either SIM1 or SIM2 to be the SIM your iPhone uses to make and receive calls. Simple as that.

Now the dual SIM adaptor won’t automatically switch when you are getting a call, but if you have two phone numbers this is an easy way to carry one phone.

This tutorial requires cutting of SIM cards and hacking. Do at your own risk. We are, of course, not responsible for any damage done to your iPhone. Duh!
