Check Point Software Technologies just recently announced its official support for the iPhone through its VPN-1 product. VPN-1, which acts as a Virtual Private Networking tool; hence VPN, allows users to hold secure Internet connections via the iPhone’s Layer 2 Transport Protocol. (L2TP) client. Once installed, iPhone users can then communicate with firms using the VPN-1 software without needing additional software to be installed on their devices.
VPN-1 administrators can create specific login credentials for each iPhone users using a shared secret password and certificates for all iPhones on the network.
