USBfever Releases PPS2 (External Battery Pack) for iPhones
by Jody Mitoma on April 27, 2008 at 9:28 pm

Hardware developers USBfever, have just recently released their second version of the Portable Power Station. This second generation device is able to plug into your iPhone, functioning as a portable backup battery, temporarily recharging the iPhone itself.
A second port, located at the bottom of the Portable Power Station 2, allows for you to charge both internal, and external batteries simultaneously or alternately sync with a computer.
The Power Station G2 is only rated at 800mAH, which is not enough to fully charge the iPhones internal battery.
It is noted on USBfever’s website that the iPhones battery is rated at 1400mAH which means this battery is just an emergency one rather than one that can charge your iPhone to full.
If you’d like to get yourself one of these, they retail for $27.99 (+ $2.99 for shipping worldwide), and can be purchased here.
