by Jody Mitoma on April 26, 2008 at 10:06 pm

PA SEMIForbes has reported that after careful negotiation, Apple has acquired the small Santa Clara chip company, P. A. Semi, founded by Dan Dobberphul, the former lead designer of the DEC Alpha and StrongARM processors. P. A. Semi is known for their great power efficient chips, which are up to “300% more efficient than any comparable chips”, according to the company itself.

This has us thinking Apple may be thinking about using these chips in future iPhone and iPod Touch models, seeing as they have highly efficient technology.
