Who are Cydia users? What is Cydia? Basically, Cydia is the other Installer.app. We’ve talked about Cydia on Touch Podium, here. ZodTTD is pre-releasing it to all Cydia users because the Cydia developer helped him in providing him with certain tools to easier develop.
ZodTTD will be rolling out his Cydia repository soon enough, releasing most, if not all, of his currently released, and future released applications and games.
From the fingertips of the big guy himself:
gameboy4iphone v1.5.0 is a brand new version, and first to be seen by the public. It is based on a port of GnuBoy done by yoyofr and Tinnus. It is fullspeed, fully featured, and has nice sound too! It even limits its speed to actual Gameboy framerate if going too fast.
It is said that gameboy4iphone v1.5.0 will be released on his Installer.app repository “in the coming days.”
Notice: Let it be known that there are complaints being made about sound still sucking in version 1.5.0 of gameboy4iphone. [see here]

Cool! It’s good to see Cydia being promoted. I really like that packager and would love to see it take over from the standard Installer. Besides that, gameboy4iPhone rocks! Now I just need to get my GBC collection back so I can play more than just the classic grayscale games.

As a Cydia user (in fact, on my latest jailbreak I didn’t even install Installer, because I only wanted a small number of apps, namely MobileScrobbler, which has it’s own Cydia repository:

), I can say that this kind of thing is great. Not only does it promote Cydia which is so obviously better than Installer, but it means that I now have a way to play Pokemon Yellow, which is arguably the best designed and most enjoyable of all the Pokemon titles.
