Gameboy4iPhone Preview

I’ve had a chance to check out ZodTTD’s beta of his forthcoming Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator, and I have to say it’s mighty good. The standard ZodTTD interface is there with the usual assortment of options. The emulation itself is top notch, not only having a high level of compatibility, but offering up full-speed emulation — in fact, it might be a touch too fast, so Zod is looking into adding a frame limiter.
The video presented below offers up several Game Boy game demos: Castlevania Adventure, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Land (naturally), Bomberman, and Bubble Bobble. I had a couple of others I was going to add, but one was too blurry (tip: Make sure macro focus is selected), and the other got cut off because I was using a crappy slow card that can’t keep up with my camera’s capture capabilities. Nevertheless I think this is a decent cross-section of a few great oldies. Excuse my lame skillz, I’m still not entirely used to virtual buttons with no tactile feedback.

There is no current release date, but since it’s in beta, expect it pretty soon.
