Goldstriker’s Red Grain iPhone Looks Cool, Costs Plenty

So, here you are, a well-to-do, trendy fashionista who absolutely needs that perfect accessory to match that slick red-and-gold Prada Croc Clutch handbag (which compliments your d’Orsay Croc pumps faaabulously) but you aren’t gauche enough to plaster your iPhone in a riotous clash of Swarovskis, and simple gold plating is so last week. Whatever do you do? Luxury gadget outfit Goldstriker has your answer.
Designed by Stuart Hughes, Goldstriker’s chief designer, the Nightfire Edition iPhone features gold plating clad in a slim yet supple leather body suit with a cheeky keyhole that shows off your ample Apple cleavage that is sure to elicit more than a few envious remarks form the A-listers. The catch here is not the money — you spent more than $1,800 at Dolce & Gabbana just this morning — but production: Only 250 of these elite accoutrements will be made, which should make it exclusive enough that you’ll probably be the only person sporting one at the next afterparty. You still have time however, as Goldstriker have not released it yet, nor have they announced a release date — but you’d better get in line if you want a shot at one. Though displayed in red, Goldstriker say that it will also be released in ivory, black, and other colours, guaranteeing that you will almost certainly have an outfit to match.

I like the way that this post is oozing with cynicism =P

What can I say? Haute couture makes me gag.
To be fair, this one’s got a lot more less-is-more flair than those gaudy Swarovski-studded monstrosities. Nevertheless, it still appeals to the more-dollars-than-sense clique. And I like my iPhone just the way it is.
